Transformation of the year 👏 I have a special place in my heart for renovating old homes 🫶

These clients wanted to keep the original cabinets as they were still in really good condition. We used color theory to offset the red undertones of the cabinet stain by color drenching the entire space in a muddy green paint. This brought a new richness to the stain which allowed us to elevate everything else by bringing in unlaquered hardware and marble floors and counter tops. We streamlined the existing layout by removing the over range microwave, profiled crown, and a few of the cabinets that were overcrowding the space ❤️

People ask me all the time “what is your style” and truly, I love so many. I pull inspiration from all over— travels, art, music, floral arrangements, jewelry, etc. At the end of the day, there are a millions ways to create a home and I love to challenge myself with entering into new realms frequently. It keeps inspiration flowing AND fluid— which is so important in a world where everything is being copied and duplicated. My focus always will be on designing cohesive, timeless homes whether that takes me into the world of contemporary or euro cottage 🫶 we just simply love GOOD design around here and see challenges as opportunity to continually grow and expand our offering!

After two years (!!!) we wrapped up this incredibly detailed home north of Pittsburgh. Handing over the keys is always emotional, especially when you’ve spent so much time with the clients pouring over every finish and really learning how they live and who they are. A huge congrats to all of the contractors who built this home from the ground up and cheers to the lucky homeowners who get to call this beautiful place home 🫶

My most favorite part of my job is problem solving and coming up with creative solutions to get the client exactly what they want. Sure, this takes a lot extra hours invested into conversations and meetings with the trades dissecting specs, creating technical drawings and pushing materials to their limits, but we always find a way 🤝 what fun is it staying in your comfort zone when you can be creating spaces like this ??!

My take on a soft contemporary wine cellar 🍇 Requiring an exterior rated door to keep the temperature balanced, we took the idea of making it look like a store front to a whole new level by replicating the home’s exterior materials. We kept it moody by adding a charred wood barrel ceiling and staining all of the millwork to match the floor so the dark bottles will stand out as much as possible ✨ Would you want this in your home ??

Dreamiest bathroom I designed and never posted about 😅 We just finished up phase 2 of this renovation, more on this one 🔜 🫶

Almost ready to wrap this one up and hand over the keys, this has truly been the project of a lifetime 🥲

How I’m leaving it vs how I found it 💐

Scenes from my very first project in Pittsburgh, PA, restoring a row house built in 1899. Reconfiguring the layout to flow with more modern living and creating a primary suite on the second floor out of two bedrooms, a hallway and a hall bath (that had so much water damage, the tub nearly fell through the floor when we were demoing 😅)

My favorite part of the process — the painters have sprayed all of the trim and are finally out, the dust has settled and there’s about to be a tornado of trades people in here perfecting every last detail 🙌

My very first project - my own personal home 🫶 a huge restoration project that made me fall in love with the sentiment of creating a home, thoughtfully using space and curating a lifestyle that is both inspiring and cozy ❤️

A few steps closing to moving this wonderful family into this beautiful home this spring 🌸 These homes take YEARS to design, build and get just right. 100’s of hands all working in unison to bring all of these ideas to life for these deserving clients 🤝 grateful to be a part of this one ❤️

If you’re interested in “starting a project next year”, my advice is to reach out to a designer and start now— 6 months of designing up front is necessary to help the project roll as smooth as possible. Once construction starts the goal is to be in and out so it’s as little of an inconvenience to you (especially on renovations)! Be smart about your planning and try to get as much done up front as possible!
